Watch Our First Meet & Greet With Chef Jason & His Denver Food Truck!

Today we connected with Chef Jason in his food truck as we kicked off our People In The Community Meet and Greets for the new Cantata Learning Harmony Project!
The People in Your Community Meet and Greets will be a wonderful opportunity for your students to learn about different professions as they get ready to share their songs, stories, art, and other global stories in the Give a Shout Out To Your Community Harmony Project

Today was the first of six Meet and Greets!

To make them even more special, we have invited six different school libraries and classrooms to join us along the way.

Andy Plemmons and students in Ms. Kelly's kindergarten class at Barrow Elementary Media Center in Athens, Georgia joined us this morning in Jason's food truck.
The kindergarteners were so excited to watch Chef Jason as he showed us around his food truck and talked about being a chef.
Chef Jason started outside to show us where his food truck was parked...
and all of the other food trucks around him.  They park here in the morning and make their way down to the Colorado State Capital area in Denver for lunch.
He showed us where we would order food if we came to visit and how he delivers the food to customers.
Chef Jason focuses on French cuisine so he made a traditional desert.... Beignets!
We all wished he could share with us. They looked delicious.
The kindergarteners definitely got a taste of what it would be like to be a chef and own a food truck during this Meet and Greet.
And I know that all of us who watched enjoyed it too!

Join us for the second Meet and Greet next Monday, September 26 at 9:00am EST as we connect with author Michael Dahl and Karyn Lewis's middle school students in Texas.

Michael is the author of more than 100 books for children and young adults including Cantata Learning's Albert Is Just Fine, Mrs. Einstein!

We can't wait to hear what Michael has to share about his job as an author and how that plays an important part in our communities.

You can register for Michael's Meet and Greet here.
And don't forget to join Give a Shout Out To Your Community global project today!  You can join it here
